Recertification

We want to share with you a new state UEZ policy that allows the recertification of your business for another program year, even if you could not meet your hiring obligation under the UEZ program. The below PDF is from the State of New Jersey website.

This means when you file your recertification application with our office, and you have suffered an employment reduction or you could not hire an additional person as required, then you may ask for special consideration.

You must write a letter stating the reasons for your request for special retention explaining why you suffered an employment downturn or why you couldn't meet your obligations.
