Recycling Guidelines

Listed below are the guidelines that the ACUA Atlantic County Utilities Authority collection crews will follow:

Two items of bulky waste will be collected curbside with the weekly MSW collection.
Bulky waste is defined as furniture, uncontaminated textiles, small appliances, wood waste, and tires with rims removed.

Tires
Two per resident will be collected provided that they have had the metal rims removed. No tires will be collected from commercial establishments.

Wood Waste
Will be collected as bulky waste item if it is of manageable size, four feet in length, tied and bundled or placed in a trash container.

Construction and Demolition Material (C&D)
If the material is generated by a homeowner as the result of construction, demolition, or remodeling of their residence, it will be collected curbside. The material must be placed in a container or properly prepared for collection. If a contractor performs the work, the C&D material must be hauled and disposed of properly by the homeowner or contractor.

White Goods and Metals
All white goods and metals will be collected by the Pleasantville Public Works Department.

Yard Waste
All yard waste will be collected by the Pleasantville Public Works Department.

Thursday: North of Washington Avenue to Nevada Avenue
Friday: South of Washington Avenue to Ridgewood Avenue

White Goods and Metal Pick-up Schedule
Tuesday: North of Washington Avenue to Nevada Avenue
Wednesday: South of Washington Avenue to Ridgewood Avenue
