Our Step-by-Step Guide outlines the process to becoming a member in a few easy steps. You will be up and running as the newest edition to our Enterprise Zone program in no time.

The requirements to maintain membership have been reduced and the term of membership extended.

Easier to Join. Online certification forms and program guidelines
Three year certification term
Reduced job creation requirements

Beginning January 1, 2010, businesses receive a three-year certification which reduces the annual paperwork required to keep UEZ membership. The certification and program guidelines are available online as is the certification application.

Most important, the requirements of creating new jobs has been reduced to allow every type of business to join, from the traditional Mom-and-Pop small business to larger companies. No new job needs to be created if the joining member starts with 5 or fewer employees.

The new requirements do not lessen the tax incentives received by member businesses but they do shrink the administrative cost to maintain certification.
