City of Pleasantville
It's now easier to join the PUEZ program!
The requirements to maintain membership have been reduced and the term of membership extended.

Beginning January 1, 2010, businesses receive a three-year certification which reduces the annual paperwork required to keep UEZ membership. The certification and program guidelines are available online as is the certification application. Click here to download the application packet.

Most important, the requirements of creating new jobs has been reduced to allow every type of business to join, from the traditional Mom-and-Pop small business to larger companies. No new job needs to be created if the joining member starts with 5 or fewer employees.

The new requirements do not lessen the tax incentives received by member businesses but they do shrink the administrative cost to maintain certification.

PUEZ Businesses Receive:

  • "One-Stop Shopping" for planning, zoning and construction approvals.
  • Eligibility for low interest business loans.
  • Sales tax exemption on building materials, services, and most tangible personal property.
  • Unemployment insurance & property tax incentives.
  • For retailers, 50%* off NJ Retail Sales Tax rate for your customers.
